Raymond Vermeulen reflects on fourth title: 'Incredibly proud'

With two races to go, Max Verstappen clinched his fourth Formula 1 world title in Las Vegas. Under the watchful eye of manager and personal confidant Raymond Vermeulen, the Dutchman finished fifth, creating an unassailable points lead to be crowned world champion yet again.
“I’ve not fully processed it all”, shared a delighted Vermeulen in front of the Viaplay cameras. “We are so proud that we’ve got the title in the bag. Of course, after Brazil we knew it would be sooner rather than later, but you still have to do the job. It’s done and we’re really, really proud.”
Last year’s title campaign progressed a lot smoother than the tense battle unfolding over the 2024 season. “If you look back on it, we have to be really proud how he did it, but it just as easily could’ve gone the other way. The way this title was won, was all down to Max. He deserves this one more than ever.”
Vermeulen continued saying: “One moment, the car was fantastic, the other it was completely out of the window, so I’m glad it’s done. We knew this track wouldn’t suit us, so it’s even better to win it. Next year, we strive for title number five, but it means Red Bull have their work cut out.”
