Jos Verstappen will not be driving for Minardi

Jos Verstappen will definately not be driving for the Minardi F1 team. Last Tuesday Trust's MD Michel Perridon, Jos Verstappen's management and Paul Stoddart had a meeting but that would be the last one. In that meeting not enough guarantees could be given to have sportive improvements for next year. Both Trust and Jos Verstappen have come to the conclusion not to drive for Minardi for next season.

In a short reaction Jos told us that he wishes Minardi all the best; "I would like to thank particularly Paul Stoddart for this season's co-operation and I would like to wish him good luck for next season. I had an intensive relationship with Minardi and their mechanics and I hope to meet them again in the paddock next year". Unfortunately only a few words from Jos but we hope to be able to have a more extensive interview with him soon.
