Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing and Team Redline announce elite partnership

Published on 31 October 2023 by Niels Hendrix

World championship winning Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing has announced a multi-year partnership with perennial champions, Team Redline, as both teams seek to further their dominance in motor esports.

The merger brings a new team name and logo for Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing and will see Team Redline preside over the performance management of Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing, ahead of this year’s Formula 1 Esports Series Pro Championship. With a focus on nurturing and developing talent, a dedicated Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing performance facility will also be created in the Team Redline HQ. As the most successful team on the grid, Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing will fully retain the team’s current driver and content creator roster with a continued commitment to becoming a leading force both on the physical and virtual track.

Since Team Redline’s inception over 20 years ago, it has grown to become one of the most formidable teams in the sim racing world, accumulating several of the most prestigious accolades; Porsche TAG HEUER Esports Supercup, 24hr Le Mans Virtual, and recently, the inaugural series of ESL R1. In 2022, Team Redline became one of the three pillars of Verstappen.com Racing, a racing-fueled initiative founded by Max Verstappen to bring different forms of motorsport together, under one umbrella. Under the guidance of Verstappen.com Racing, Team Redline continues to grow from strength to strength.

On the new partnership, Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing Team Esports Lead, Joe Soltysik, said: “This partnership marks an ambitious positive step on our journey to win back our team title in F1 Esports. Since the creation of our sim racing team in 2018, we have been committed to being the best competitors on the grid and constantly looking for ways to improve our performance. Partnering up with one of the most successful teams in sim racing history is an opportunity we are delighted to have taken and I am incredibly excited about the potential of what we can achieve together.”

Director of Team Redline, Atze Kerkhof, said: “This is an exciting new challenge for the team, having already built a good relationship with Red Bull under Verstappen.com Racing – this seemed like the logical next step for us to collaboratively take. Team Redline is excited for this new challenge and is looking forward to getting to work.”
