Max awarded Driver of the Day on the Madring

Published on 13 September 2026 by Florence Cobben

Max Verstappen drove a strong race on the Madring in Madrid, starting from third place and ending his race in second. Even though the four-time world champion had to concede a position at the start of the Grand Prix, his pace and race craft turned out only to be a match for Kimi Antonelli's Mercedes. Polesitter Lando Norris (McLaren) came home in third place.

Max's race earned him the public's approval, and his efforts were distinguished with this Grand Prix's 'Driver of the Day'.
