Max reveals his 2025 helmet: 'Back to the roots'

Max Verstappen has revealed his helmet for the 2025 Formula 1 season. It is not just a new design, but a tribute to his personal style and the evolution toward a perfect design. This helmet represents Max’s career from his early years to the present, and also his future.
With influences from his karting days, a subtle tribute Jos’s helmet design and lessons learned from previous helmets, this helmet tells the story of determination, precision and the unrelenting pursuit to perfection. Every line, colour and detail is the result of years of refinement and experimentation, with one goal in mind: to create a helmet Max fully stands behind. Timeless - it could even be called iconic.
Max explains: “This helmet design is basically similar to when I started racing, when I was four years old. It was based on my dad’s design and I’m definitely very proud of that. When I started racing, my dad’s helmet design was very important to me. That was the helmet I really liked and which I am very proud to wear. One of the small details are the red and blue lines, which represent the Dutch flag. I’ve tried to keep it as simple as possible, which I enjoy, with of course the lion on the top. It’s definitely, you could say, our family’s design. Some details have changed, but in general it’s back to the roots. I’m very happy with it.”
