Luca Badoer got his hand fractured

Published on 29 March 1999 by Ivo Kleintjes

The Fondmetal Minardi Ford today’s testing, carried out by Luca Badoer at Fiorano, had an unlucky conclusion. At the end of the day the Italian driver went out of the track due to a failure to the drive-by-wire system, dashing against the crash barriers. In the impact the driver suffered a small fracture to his right hand and was therefore taken to the Modena’s Policlinico to undergo a small operation in order to reduce the recovery time. The team has decided to suspend the test session scheduled for today. Eventually Minardi will test only on Tuesday with Marc Gené.
