Mika Salo named as replacement for injured Zonta.

Finnish driver Mika Salo has been nominated as the stand in driver at BAR for the injured Ricardo Zonta in the San Marino Grand Prix. However the team still hopes that Zonta will recover in time for the third race of the Formula 1 season. Should Zonta not receive a doctor's permission to race Salo will race the second BAR-Supertec in San Marino. According to the doctors Zonta is making good progress and the Brazilian has already started with a training programme, although with his foot still in plaster. Next week the BAR team will test in Jerez and it is likely that Salo will drive his first laps for BAR. Also next week there will be more certainty about the situation with Zonta's foot as on Monday the cast will be removed and he will start his recovery programme for his legs.
