Lots of changes at BMW.

Published on 16 April 1999 by Marc van Beelen

The new F1 engine of BMW has not drive a mile yet, but already lots of changes have been taking place at several management positions. Mario Thiessen may call himself now technical director while former director Paul Rosche is now projectleader of the Formula 1 program. The position of Gerhard Berger remains the same. Rumours that these changes were due to the bad performance of the present engine, were strongly denied by Berger. Motorsport is a hot issue at BMW since the company appointed Wolfgang Ziebart in the board of directors responsible for the motorsport. It looks to be clear that there are a lot of people, who can price themselves if BWM appears to be a winner, however who will be to blame if they will not succeed?
