Mika Hakkinen on Pole.

Mika Hakkinen will start tomorrows Brazilian GP on Pole position. Hakkinen's fastest laptime 1:16.568 placed him 0.147 sec in front of his team mate David Coulthard. The battle for the 3rd position was won by Rubens Barrichello. M.Schumacher drove his Ferrari in the 42th minute onto the 3rd place, but eventually in the minute 46 Barrichello replaced M.Schumacher to the 4th position with his fastest laptime 1:17.305.
Ricardo Zonta could not take any further part in the Brazilian GP. This morning he lost control of his car and slammed into the barriers. The impact saw Zonta suffer a fracture to his left foot.
