After a good start moving to position 14, and after that climbing to position 11 and closing to Salo who was on position 10, Jos had difficulties with the car and made a unexpected pit stop.

In the first lap after the pit stop, he had an enormous crash at a speed of around 200 km/h which caused the safety car to come on to the track. Jos got out of the car, which was completely destroyed and it looked as if he was not physically hurt, but he was very dizzy. A helicopter brought him to the nearest hospital. The latest news we got was that he is OK and in hospital for observation.
