Michael Schumacher grabbed his 41st pole at the Hungaroring and is a step closer to his 4th Worldchampionship title. He kept Coulthard (2nd) and Rubens Barrichello behind him. Mika Hakkinen has to start from 6th position, Trulli (5th) and Ralf Schumacher (4th) are directly in front of him.

Jos had to do his utmost to set a qualifying time in a limited number of laps. This morning he was unable to find a setup for his car and this afternoon it was impossible to keep Enrique behind him. He will start from a 21st position tomorrow.
