Greetings from Norway

Published on 31 December 2001 by Thorsten Hendriks

Since 23 December Jos, his wife Sophie and the kids are enjoying their well deserved holiday in Norway. They are accompanied by Gerda (Jos's sister) and her boyfriend and Raymond Vermeulen with his wife Simone.

Sophie and Jos are suffering from sunburn...

Far away and high in the Norwegian mountains, but his mobile was still working. At an altidue of 900 meters and -20 degrees Celsius Jos phoned us. "We are in a cabin in the mountains, away from the touristic places. Very relaxing this tranquility; skiing during the day, at night playing board games in front of an open fire." Nothing like Austria: no apres-ski and other funny things the Dutch get into. "No, the F1 season itself is stressfull enough, according to Jos. "Just a time to get away from things, relax and recharge the battery for next season."

Activity holiday. Jost rode a bobsled yesterday, he cannot do without speed. Tonight he is playing a game of football. Skiing, bobsleds, football and some training inbetween. Jos is keeping himself fit overthere in Norway. "It took some acclimatising here though, daylight starts at 9.30am and at 4pm it is dark again. Raymond has never been home that early that often. We will stay here until 4 January. When we arrive home Huub Rothengatter is going on holiday."

In the Arrows factory they are busy making the new car ready for its maiden voyage. Within a couple of weeks the first tests will be executed, if everything goes to plan. Jos will need his rest now, in a month from now he'll be busy as ever.

Some bonus photos of Jos and his family are put up in the Fanzone section.
