Schumacher to be replaced?
Published on 10 January 2002 by Thorsten Hendriks
Michael Schumacher will join Manchester United and The Reds' captain, David Beckham, will go to Ferrari...but only for 1 day.
Two of the most famous sportsmen on this planet will trade places for one day. Schumacher will join the ManU squad in a training session and David Beckham will have to squeeze into Schumacher's Ferrari seat.
Beckham is not only known for his footballing skills, but also as husband to Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham)
This idea was given birth to by mobile phone giant Vodafone who sponsor both Manchester United and Ferrari. This pleases both men, Beckham owns a Ferrari 360 Modena and it is well known that Schumacher is a canny footballer. On top of that Ferrari's technical director Ross Brawn is a HUGE Manchester Utd fan, so he can be seen regularly at 'Old Trafford'.
Beckham and Schumacher will trade places for one day only. What if the wives would trade places? Now THAT would be interesting!
