In a bursting at the seams 'Autotron' in Rosmalen today the long expected Jos Verstappen Fanclub meeting took place.
The first fans were very early
Over 10,000 people went there which led to traffic delays over a 7 mile stretch. The police advised people on public radio not to join the queues but to return home. The first fans arrived at 10.30 and when the doors opened at 1pm the number of people had increased. This appeared to be an forwarning for this very busy and successful day.
Over 10,000 fans made their way to the 'Autotron'
Highlights of the day were two one-hour interview sessions with Olav Mol, they discussed last season and fans could ask any questions through a form or via Rick Winkelman who was amongst the crowd.
Two long interview sessions with Olav Mol were scheduled
On the question "Are you driving this season?", which every fan would like to have an answer to, Jos again replied that he expects to be at the start for Arrows on 3 March in Melbourne. "I am visiting the factory again this week and I have sent them all the paperwork for the application on their request."
The autographing sessions were extremely popular
Jos also signed many hats, photographs and cards. Besides seeing Jos and visiting the museum with a special corner for Jos Verstappen you could take a look at an A22 and the AX3 which were displayed. From the many comments we received today we learned that this event had been very successful. Above all the fans appreciated that the Fanclub organised this special experience for them.
We can look back on a tremendous day
