The Arrows team has analyzed the telemetrics data of Jos' car after yesterday's incident at the GP of Hungary. After Jos' car had been hit by Pedro Diniz' car (where he was propelled in the air about 30 centimeters) as well as by Mika Salo's car in the second corner of the first lap a trackrod of the rear suspension of Jos' car was bent.

Although Jos already drove with a lower speed and was braking earlier before corners his car slid off the track totally unexpectedly while Jos was doing his 11th lap. The trackrod had disappeared from the car and has not been found near the car either after inspection. Afterwards Jos declared that he didn't know what had happened as he was driving in exactly the same way as in the laps before. There had been NO radio contact between Jos and his team about the damage of his car. Jos told us furthermore that he feels bad about the fact that on the outside the accident looks like it was his fault while it certainly wasn't his fault. Even some Dutch newspapers have troubles seeing this.

The Dutch newspaper 'Algemeen Dagblad' for instance gave an overview of Jos' results or causes of retirement this year. Three results (out of twelve GP's) were wrong, Monaco, France and Hungary (see above). In all of these races Jos couldn't help his retirement while the newspaper states otherwise. We have notified them about this.
