The Minardi Formula One Team today announces that it has concluded an agreement with Bridgestone for the supply of tyres in 2003. This renews an association that dates back to the Japanese tyre manufacturer’s entry into Grand Prix racing, in 1997. The Faenza squad also has links with Bridgestone via newly signed Dutch driver, Jos Verstappen, who assisted with the test and development programme for the company’s Formula One tyres during 1996.
“We’re very pleased to have brought these negotiations to a satisfactory conclusion today,” comments Minardi Team Principal, Paul Stoddart. “We now look forward to an excellent working relationship with our new tyre supplier, Bridgestone, during the coming season.”
