Halfords new sponsor Minardi

Earlier today in the "Triavium" congres center in Nijmegen (The Netherlands)Jos Verstappen has announced in front of all 135 shopowners of Halfords The Netherlands that their company is the new sponsor of Minardi. The MD of Halfords The Netherlands, Paul Burger was present too. The logos of Halfords, supplier of car accessories and other materials, can be seen on the cars, overalls and transporters of the Minardi team.

Jos showed that he was extremely happy while he signed autographs for the Dutch Halfords shopowners. "Of course it is fantastic that, yet again, a Dutch company has faith in the Minardi team by sponsoring us." Huub Rothengatter was delighted: "We are very happy to see that Halfords wanting to be associated with Jos Verstappen and Minardi. This is the crown on our cooperation which goes back to end of 1999 when we sold Jos Verstappen merchandise through Halfords. I also would like to thank the HMG Group for all their efforts which have contributed to the conclusion of this deal."

The presentation was lead by Olav Mol, F1 commentator for the Dutch channel RTL 5. Footage of todays' presentation will be shown in this week programme RTL Grand Prix Magazine on Friday evening.
