Jos: 'It's a pity'

We've just spoken with a somewhat disappointed Jos. He is disappointed because he had a good first section but lost the car in the Variante Alta. Also disappointed because his preparatation didn't go well.
"In the free practice I was troubled with a hydraulic problem and we had to replace the engine. Something went wrong with the fuel mixture and my car was not as fast as before. The mechanics had to work very hard to get everything in order for the qualification. This all hampered a good preparation and concentration."
Jos's car is in Parc Fermé, Minardi has put an official request with the FIA to let them repair the car. If they get permission to repair the car it will be under strict supervision of FIA officials. This is because nothing can be changed on the setup of the car. This would be, with the probability of rain in San Marino, a nice advantage.
"If the car is damaged beyond repair I will have to start in the T-car. I prefer my own car, that is why we put a request in with the FIA."
