Published on 14 June 2003 by Huub Rothengatter

The weather conditions kept changing. The training session were in the wet, the qualification had to be done on a dry track.

This resulted in a complete different picture compared to the previous sessions. Not the Ferrari's on theri Bridgestone but both the BMW Williams drivers on their Michelins will start from front row in tomorrow's race.
Ralf Schumacher manager to get one single perfect lap. He had a difficult start of the season with the new qualification system managed to get his first pole of the season. He obviously likes this circuit, in 2001 he won the Grand Prix here.

Both Minardi's didn't do a bad job. Jos received a standing ovation when he returned to the pitbox. Jos had a perfect lap with which he positioned himself on a 15th place, the best qualification of this season.
Behind Jos we have Kimi Raikkonen who had another spin in his flying lap and has to start from the back of the grid. Both Jordan drivers, his team mate and Jenson Button. The Brit missed the chicane completely in the last sector.
