Panis fastest in free practice

Olivier Panis set the fastest time this morning during the free practice on the Nurburgring. Panis is followed by Mark Webber who recoved from a spin earlier and put himself on second spot.

The free practice is not really meant to be used as a race element, therefore the topteams were not to be seen at the front. Ferrari had Schumacher on 10th and Barrichello on 12th. Both BMW Williams drivers had to settle for a place which they are not used to.

Jos Verstappen had the least laps of all drivers, only 9. He managed to keep his team mate behind him on 0.5 seconds.
