Jos 19th in free practice

Published on 05 July 2003 by Huub Rothengatter

After Jos's fastest time yesterday he only was 19th today in the free practice, three tenths in front of Justin Wilson. The whole session Jos was able to match the times of the other drivers, but his engine's life expired. This didn't give him the chance to set a faster time. Jos only drove eight lap, but then again Jenson Button only did five. Yesterday the Brit was slowest as he had do prequalify without any practice due to the confiscation of the cars on Friday. This morning in the first practice his engine blew which meant he had to miss second practice. Far from ideal for a Grand Prix preparation.
