Published on 10 July 2003 by Huub Rothengatter

Jos Verstappen will be present in Bergen op Zoom, The Netherlands on 12 July in support of a charitable organisation. It is a fundraising event for "Stichting L'Acolade", which organises holidays for families with disabled children. All proceeds of this day are going to that foundation.

The parking area of Transport company Van Egeraat, Wattweg, Bergen op Zoom, will be converted into a race circuit. All day there will be events linked to the ever increasing popularity of motorsport. You can participate in a kart race and Jos's current Minardi F1 car will be on display. Dutch RTL TV Grand Prix reporters Olav Mol and Jack Plooij will be present. Olav Mol will also be DJ-ing as he is a radio presenter with another Dutch TV & Radio station, Yorin

Everyone, young and old, will be able to drive a kart between 10am and 10pm. There will be heats of 15 minutes in which 6 drivers will compete. Plenty of other activities are planned; for children between 6 and 12 there are some small 4x4's and you will be able to participate in a digital race.
