Negotiations Jos Verstappen - Jordan F1 ceased

After extensive study of all concerning contracts Jos' sponsors and management have decided to discontinue all negotiations with Jordan F1. The contract subjects have not given enough confidence for a successful co-operation in the coming season; the statement tells us.

Jos Verstappen commented: "We all did our utmost to get to an mutual agreement. At this stage, however, further negotiations are useless. Again I would like to emphasise that we have a fantastic group of people around. us. Especially Trust's Michel Perricon has made every effort to achieve a positive result. We have broken off all talks in mutual agreement and with support of all sponsors involved."

Michel Perridon gave following statement: "We, as Jos' sponsor, have given our full support to Jos and we will keep doing this. It is obvious that all parties involved should have a good basis to achieve a successful season, this was not the case with this one."
