Team Netherlands ninth in first free practice

The first A1 Grand Prix free practice at the circuit of Brands Hatch has just finished. Jos Verstappen clocked a 1.17.970 for Team Netherlands, a ninth position. Fastest was Team USA in 1.16.875

During the first free practice there we two 'Code Red' situations. First it was Russia that went off track during the early stages of the practice.

Team Netherlands was involved in the second 'Code Red'. Jos Verstappen and the Indian driver Chandhok collided. The Indian car went over Jos's car which caused the 'Code Red'. Not a lot of damage for Jos, only a new front wing was required. This happened about ten minutes before the end of the session, which meant that Team Netherlands did not have enough time to change the wing and sent the car back out.
