Jos on Sepang: 'plenty of overtaking possibilities'

We had the chance to briefly speak with Jos Verstappen on the telephone from Malaysia, in preparation of this weekend's fifth A1GP on the Sepang International Circuit. "Just keep it short, it costs a fortune this phoning." He tells us, no time (or money) for an indepth interview.
"It is raining here. Quite often in Malaysia you'll get a short but heavy rainshower. It will dry up soon."
Jos knows this circuit pretty well and showed in 2001 in his Arrows that he is capable of good racing. From a seventeenth place and after one lap passing finish in sixth and then in the rain moving forward to second. After it dried up and he had to make another pitstop he finished seventh. "I love this circuit, very beautiful. Plenty of overtaking possibilities. We will have to make use of those."
A1GP Team Netherlands is doing pretty well. With a good qualification they should be able to finish at the front of the field in both the sprint and feature race. Jos knows that they have to get better at qualifying. "I have not spoken with Jan Lammers, and yes we have to improve our qualifying position. The problem is that we have not enough grip on new tyres. This has to do with the setup and we are working on that. I trust the people in our team and we can only get better."
