Second free practice session: Jos 3rd fastest

Published on 10 February 2006 by Thorsten Hendriks

A nice, well deserved third time for Team Netherlands during second free practice at the Sentul circuit. Jos Verstappen however is very careful not to expect too much this weekend. "A third place is always good, but we have to do some work on the car if we want to be able to get a good result." Jos tells us on the phone while on the way back to his hotel. This third time we managed to do at the end of the training session, with new rain tyres. That understeer is bothering us big time in the rain. Something we have not experienced before with the car. On this particular circuit, with that coarse tarmac, it is very difficult to get a problem like understeer properly solved. We have managed to gather a lot of information and we do know which way to go to achieve a better setup for the car. Let's wait and see what happens tomorrow."
