Giorgio Mondini replaces Neel Jani for Team Switzerland

25 year old Giorgio Mondini will be driving for Team Switzerland in the two last A1GP races of this seasion. He will be replacing Neel Jani who has to honour his conractual obligations as test driver for the F1 team Scuderia Toro Rosso. He was unable to combine his F1 work with the two A1GP races in the USA (12 March) and China (2 April).

"We have a strong team and we are working hard to close the gap with France." Max Welti, Swiss team boss. "I am convinced that Giorgio Mondini will feel at home with our team and I think he is the perfect driver to try and attempt to win the championship.

With only three A1GP racing weekends ahead, Team France had a 28 points lead over Team Switzerland.
