After intensive FR2.0 testing the focus is on the last kart race

After thirteen days of successfully testing with several Formula Renault 2.0 teams, Max Verstappen is now fully focused on his last race in the karts. This upcoming weekend, Bahrain will host the second and final race of the CIK-FIA World Championship KF. After becoming world champion earlier this season with the manual gearbox in the KZ class, the 16-year-old talent will now try to clinch the world championship with an automatic gearbox.

Winning the first round of the KF world championship in Brandon (Great Britain), combined with his other successes in karting this year, make Max the biggest favourite for the title! Meanwhile, Max and his father Jos arrived in Bahrain and are looking forward to the race this upcoming weekend. Max: "We did some tests this weekend with the CRG-kart and had an improved TM-engine on it, that worked very well! I'm ready for my last kart race and will do everything I can to give this already great season an even better ending."

Max honours his starting number

The focus of the Verstappens is now fully on this last kart race. After the event, they will return home and put their focus on the Formula Renault 2.0. At this moment no decisions have been made about Max’ future. The decision regarding for what team Max will make his debut in motorsport, is to be expected at the end of the November or early days of December.
