Max answers fans' questions

Published on 17 February 2014 by Stefan Meens

On Sunday the Florida Winter Series organised a live Q&A via the series' livestream. All the drivers were asked questions from all over the world. Below are the four questions answered by Max.

The first question for the world and double European champion karting is: What is the biggest difference between driving karts and single seaters?

Max: "The biggest difference is your field of vision. It's completely different and a lot more restricted. You see a lot less of what is around you because you sit much lower."

What skills do you want to develop further to become a better driver in the future?
Max: "Of course you can improve yourself in anything you do. But at the moment I've only driven six single seater races so at the moment it's all about gaining experience. I also need to improve my starts, that's an area in which I can gain the most."

What does it mean to already have so many fans who closely follow your career?
Max: "It means a lot. Every time I put in a good performance, it's great to see all the messages addressed to me online. So it definitely gives me an extra motivation to perform well for the fans."

What is your best Florida Winter Series memory so far?
Max: "For sure it is my first single seater victory. I won race 3 at Palm Beach, despite having problems with my gear box. I remained calm and didn't make mistakes, so I'm very happy with that win."

Max concluded the Q&A with a message to his fans: "Thanks for all the support, I really appreciate it! Hopefully, I'll be able to see and meet more of you in the future."
