Published on 26 March 2014 by Stefan Meens

The FIA F3 European Championship will kick of next week with the first official test at the Hungaroring. Max Verstappen will travel to Hungary as well, as the 16-year-old Dutchman will make his début with Van Amersfoort Racing in the highly acclaimed series.

With the F3 test fast approaching (April 4), Max is keen to get as much track time in a single seater racer as possible. Therefore, Verstappen junior will continue testing in a Formula Renault 2.0. On both Thursday and Friday, he will participate in the official FR2.0 Eurocup test at Jerez, Spain. Similar to the two day test at Hockenheim, absolved on Monday and Tuesday, Max will drive a FR2.0 racer courtesy of the Dutch Manor MP Motorsport team.

The test will feature a competitive line-up of thirty-four drivers, all of whom are in the middle of their intense pre-season training. You can follow Max during the test via the circuit's live timing here: http://crono-jerez.com
