Max prepares for Macau in Milton Keynes

After a successful season in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship, with ten victories and third place overall, Max Verstappen is by no means taking it easy. In the next month he will participate in Friday free practice at both the American and Brazilian Grand Prix. The Red Bull Junior will also contest the F3 Macau Grand Prix in November. It will be Max his first time on the Macau circuit. Fortunately, Red Bull's F1 simulator is equipped with Formula 3 software, so the rapid Dutchman travelled to Milton Keynes to spend time in the sim.
The Circuito da Guia is a challenging 3.8 mile street course with no run-off areas. Max was therefore pleased with the opportunity to get a taster in the simulator. “It's a tough track with several blind corners so I'm happy to have had a go here before I hit the track in my F3 racer”, explains the Van Amersfoort Racing driver. “It takes a while to get up to speed on the Macau circuit, but in the end it went well.”
Upcoming Monday, Max will travel to the United States to participate in the first free practice of the American Grand Prix in Austin on Friday. Once again, he will drive Jean Eric Vergne's Scuderia Toro Rosso in the 90 minute free practice session.
