Max arrives in Brazil

Max Verstappen travelled from Austin, where the Red Bull Junior completed FP1 of the American Grand Prix, to Sao Paolo, the city that hosts the penultimate round of the Formula 1 World Championship this weekend at Interlagos. Like Austin, Max will drive a Scuderia Toro Rosso in the first free practice session on Monday.
The flight from the United States to Brazil took about 9.5 hours and gave Max an excellent opportunity to
catch up with his future team boss, Franz Tost, who sat alongside the Dutchman. Upon arrival, in the early hours of Tuesday, the Toro Rosso squad went straight to bed.
After a lie-in, Max kicked off Monday by attending a meeting with his manager Raymond Vermeulen and Tost. After that, it was time for some exercise. At the gym, Max bumped into his fellow compatriot Guido van der Garde. Later on, the two battled each other on the tennis courts in which Guido proved Max still has a lot to learn when it comes to tennis.
Tuesday was concluded with a nice meal, which saw Max, Raymond and Franz dine in the centre of Sao Paolo. Max will remain busy in the build up to Friday’s FP1 outing with briefings and a track walk scheduled on Wednesday.
