Max and Toro Rosso demo at Italia a Zandvoort June 28

Published on 14 April 2015 by Niels Hendrix

On Sunday June 28, Max Verstappen and Scuderia Toro Rosso will put on a spectacular Formula 1 demonstration during Italia a Zandvoort. The popular event therefore sports the tagline “driven by Max Verstappen” and will be the ultimate Max Verstappen-fan-event in the Netherlands.

A year after his triumphant Formula 3 win at the Zandvoort Masters, Verstappen will return to the legendary circuit to make his F1 début on a Dutch race track. “It's going to be amazing to drive a Formula 1 car around Zandvoort”, reveals the 17-year-old. “Driving a F1 car and putting on a good show is always fun but even more so in front of a home crowd. Italia a Zandvoort is a great event and I hope I can entertain all the fans.”

Last year, Circuit Park Zandvoort formed the backdrop for one of Max's most prestigious wins, when he won the 24th edition of the Zandvoort Masters. The youngster dominated the race and went on to emulate the 1993 success of father Jos in the Formula 3 invitational event.

In June, Max is set to return to the dunes and during Italia a Zandvoort he will hit the track in a RB8 F1 racer with Toro Rosso livery. It will be Max's first time in a Formula 1 car on a Dutch racing circuit. His father, Jos, will also attend the event.

Not only will Italia a Zandvoort provide a unique opportunity for race fans to see Max in action on track, there will also be several instances for Max to engage with his fans during meet-and-greet sessions and presentations. Furthermore, Max will be around for autographs and photos at set times. Also the official Toro Rosso/Max Verstappen merchandises will be available at this event.

Besides Max's demonstrations, Italia a Zandvoort will provide its usual varied program including the attendance of various Italian Club Cars  and other owner's clubs, many Italian cars and a wide variety of Italian cuisine and lifestyle products.

Tickets are € 12,50 and can be ordered on news.verstappen.com or www.circuit-zandvoort.nl.
