Max prepared to take more risks and aims for points in Bahrain

At the FIA press conference on Thursday for the Grand Prix of Bahrain, Max Verstappen as well as his colleagues Lewis Hamilton, Pastor Maldonado, Sergio Perez, Daniel Ricciardo and Will Stevens were present.

Firstly, the Chinese Grand Prix was given a brief review. Max reports: “I was really enjoying my race. We didn't have a great qualifying, but still I was very confident that we could do a good race because I think our car and its race pace is really strong. Especially in the high speed corners. I had some good overtakes and I was really enjoying that. It's also with every race I'm getting more and more confident in the car. In the first two races you don't want to take too many risks and I decided in China, it was time to do some overtakes and take some more risks."

Asked about his retirement a week ago, due to a Renault-engine failure, Max replies: “For sure it's very short notice for us after China, where we had engine issues. But we will try to do our best to deliver a good race and try to score points, because I think at the moment the STR10 is capable of it and I'm feeling much better every race in the car. So I'm really looking forward to the race in Bahrain.”
