Max climbs up the ladder

Published on 23 April 2015 by Stefan Meens

On Monday Max Verstappen arrived back home after the Bahrain Grand Prix. Despite some time to take it easy, Max is keen to do stuff as he likes to keep busy. “I love to train and keep active, especially after a long day of travelling. Also, I want to stay in the fit physical shape I worked hard for over winter”, explains Max.

That is why on Tuesday, the Scuderia Toro Rosso driver joined up with his cousin for a proper bike ride. “It was good, we were away for a couple of hours and averaged 19mph.” Despite the slower speeds compared to what he is used to, Max always finds a challenge to live up and the next day provided just that.

On Wednesday, in a special 'climbing forest', Max had an excellent opportunity to test his spacial awareness and his agility by moving along trees via towels, ladders and zip-lines. “It was a beautiful climbing forest and it was great to have fun whilst working out at the same time. It's good to be able to shift your thoughts and to have fun with family.”
