The 2015 Formula season features two collective tests. A two-day test session is scheduled after both the Spanish and the Austrian Grand Prix. The regulations stipulate that a team has to enter a rookie, a driver who has contested less than two Grands Prix, for two of the four days.
Scuderia Toro Rosso's provisional line-up sees Max Verstappen scheduled to drive the first day at the Austrian test (June 23). The rookie driver who will share driving duties with the Dutchman in Austria, is yet to be announced.
Pierre Gasly is however confirmed as the rookie for the first collective test. The Frenchman, part of the Red Bull Junior Team, is currently driving in the GP2 Series for DAMS. The F1 test outing, will be Gasly's first time in a Formula 1 car. STR regular Carlos Sainz will take over the day after.
