Phil Charles wants to improve STR10 over the curbs

Published on 05 June 2015 by Niels Hendrix

Phil Charles, chief race engineer of Scuderia Toro Rosso, says after the free practices on Friday: “Another first day at a new track for our two drivers, and this has been a very tricky one: it’s different to any other circuit we’ve raced on up until now as it’s a big curb-riding track and it’s also the first time we take downforce off the car.”

“Both Carlos and Max have settled in well and even though we’ve got quite a lot of work to do tonight, they’ve made a reasonable start to the weekend. The car isn’t quite where we would like it to be. We’ll make sure we go through all the data so that it’s easier for them to get up and over the curbs and hopefully have a better day Saturday.”
