Coming Saturday: warm-up Italia a Zandvoort by Max

Max and Jos Verstappen, Jan Lammers and Arie Luyendijk will all be present this Saturday at 20.00 hrs. in the centre of Zandvoort for a hint of what to expect at Italia a Zandvoort ‘driven by Max Verstappen’.

On the eve of the popular event on Circuit Park Zandvoort, the Raadhuisplein will temporarily be the driver’s quarters and will offer fans a unique meet & greet opportunity with the Dutch motorsports giants. This is also the chance to score some valuable autographs. Scuderia Toro Rosso-driver Max Verstappen will also be turning on and warming up his engine of his Italian Formula 1-car, for the four demo runs that he plans on doing coming Sunday.

Sunday June 28th, Circuit Park Zandvoort will be transformed into Italian territory with a blend of Italian cars, culinary specialties and lifestyle. The main event is of course Max Verstappen, who will do his first run on a Dutch circuit behind the wheels of a Toro Rosso. His father Jos will also partake and is driving the Minardi F1-car, in which he ended his last Formula 1-season with. Former F1-driver, Jan Lammers, and two-times Indy 500 winner, Arie Luyendijk, will also be present. They will both see some action in a Formula 1-car from Scuderia Coloni.

Max is returning Sunday to the track where, not even a year ago, he followed his father’s footsteps, by winning the highly praised Zandvoort Masters Formula 3-race. The Scuderia Toro Rosso-driver will do no less than four demo runs, one of which together with his father. Apart from that, numerous autograph sessions will be held and on Circuit Park Zandvoort the official Max Verstappen and Toro Rosso merchandise will also be available.

“I think it would be great to drive a Formula 1-car on Zandvoort”, Max said earlier. “Doing a demo and a show in a Formula 1-car is always great fun, all the more if it is for your home crowd. Italia a Zandvoort is a great event and I really hope to give all the fans some great fun.”
