Max’ response after the free practices: “It is like it is”

After the cancelled second free practice, Max Verstappen concisely sums up the day for Verstappen.nl: “It was good to be here again, of course the conditions were different now compared to last year. We were also saving tyres in the first practice. We thought FP2 would be drier, but unfortunately it didn’t go that way. The car was performing quite well in the rain, so we can be happy with that.”

“Of course we still have some things to improve, but that’s always the case. That this day ends like this, is not what you want. It is still a new track for me, so you want to do more running. Last year I did FP1, but you don’t have the soft compound or the track evolution. So you really don’t  know a lot of the track. But it is like it is and we have to take it. It is also a bit similar to Russia.”
