A familiar sight this year too in Formula 1:
Today the Tyrrell Racing Organisation announced a new sponsorship agreement with ICL, one of the world's leading information technology companies. The deal will secure a significant presence for ICL on the Tyrrell-Ford 025 cars, as well as on the overalls and helmets of Tyrrell race drivers, Jos Verstappen and Mika Salo.
ICL is a leading European company, active in around 80 countries, supplying integrated systems and services to improve the performance of its customers businesses. The main systems and services businesses of the company are ICL Retail, ICL Enterprises and ICL Sorbus. ICL's expertise will contribute to the performance of the Ockham-based team this season as innovative IT-products and services are integrated with existing systems at Tyrrell.
During the shake-down of the, now three, Tyrrell-Ford's at Silverstone today the logo's were visible on the cars. The logo further appears on the airbox, on the driver helmets and the driver overalls. Every driver drove his own car and the shake-down tests went well. Jos told us that he was very much looking forward to the first race in Australia, so are we!
