Today's testing at Silverstone was completely different ...

Today's testing at Silverstone was completely different than yesterday. When Jos got up this morning he had a fever and he had a very thick eye. The weather has been very bad the whole day through. It was raining cats and dogs and there was a very stiff, almost stormy, wind. Throughout the day Jos hasn't completed more than 5 laps and Mika about 12 laps. Times are not reported and wouldn't be relevant due to the very bad weather conditions. At about 2 in the afternoon Jos' eye was completely swollen, he almost couldn't see anymore with one eye and the circuit doctor then treated his eye. Jos has gone to bed very early feeling feverish but luckily his eye was less swollen. Hopefully he will be able to drive again tomorrow when a fresh engine has to be tested.

The other team present at Silverstone was Arrows Grand Prix. The gearbox of the car is still very problematic. At first Hill drove one lap and had to park his car besides the track due to difficulties. The car was towed back and late in the afternoon Damon Hill was able to drive a couple of laps again. After that Pedro Diniz had his first taste of the Arrows. This didn't last long, about 200 metres, when his car broke down.
