Max Verstappen is nominated by the FIA for the “Personality of the Year 2015” award. Additionally, the 18-year-old is also one of the drivers in the category “Action of the Year 2015”, a competition decided by online votes.

In the “FIA Personality of the Year Award 2015”, the Dutch youngster is up against Formula 1 drivers Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Nico Rosberg and Nico Hulkenberg. Rally drivers Sebastian Ogier, Kris Meeke and Petter Solberg join Stockcar driver Jose Maria Lopez and Mercedes F1 team boss Toto Wolff to complete the list of nominees.

Last year, Max took home the trophy for the other category he is nominated for, “Action of the Year”. The move that clinched the award last year, was Max' last corner overtake on Antonio Giovinazzi, beating the Italian to second place by two hundreds of a second.

Of all the daring moves Max has pulled of throughout his rookie season, the FIA selected his daring overtake on Felipe Nasr around the outside of Blanchimont at Spa-Francorchamps. To vote for this overtake, or any of the other eight nominees, go to http://www.fia.com/action-of-the-year-2015. Voters can win a trip to London and two tickets to the 2016 British Grand Prix.

The actual awards will be presented during the FIA Prize-giving ball in Paris on 4 December. All champions of the FIA championships will then also be crowned.
