Published on 01 December 2015 by Mike Motilall

Max Verstappen finished fourth in the list of best Fomula 1-drivers for the 2015 campaign. This list is the result of a survey, done by the leading website Autosport.com, which was taken from the ten team principals in the pinnacle of motorsports. Only world champion Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel and Nico Rosberg had higher scores than the fast young Dutchman.

During the survey, the team principals needed, by means of a top ten, to indicate which driver, according to them, had performed the best during the past season. The amount of points was identical to the same in Formula 1: number one gets 25 points, number two eighteen, etc. The individual choices by the team principals were not made public, as a means to stimulate their honesty and integrity. Hamilton was awarded the most points: 229, Vettel was with 180 points clearly the runner up. Rosberg followed in three with 113, then it’s Max with 77 points. The top ten is completed by the likes of: Daniil Kvyat, Fernando Alonso, Valtteri Bottas, Sergio Perez, Daniel Ricciardo and Kimi Raikkonen.

Team principals partaking in the survey this year, were: Toto Wolff - Mercedes, Frank Williams - Williams, Monisha Kaltenborn - Sauber, John Booth - Manor, Christian Horner - Red Bull Racing, Vijay Mallya - Force India, Franz Tost - Scuderia Toro Rosso, Federico Gastaldi - Lotus, Eric Boullier - McLaren en Maurizio Arrivabene - Ferrari.
