New evidence on Ayrton Senna's crash at Imola in 1994 suggest that he may have crashed due to some debris on the track, caused by an earlier incident. In a picture by French photographer Paul-Henri Cabier that was published in the Sunday Times a small piece of wreckage can be seen in the path of Senna's car before the point where he spun off. The new evidence might lead to turning in the trial case against Frank Williams and two other team members which is to be held next week.
Stewart driver Jan Magnussen crashed during testing at Estoril last saturday. He suffered a minor leg injury and was taken to hospital to get some stitches. Afterwards he rejoined his team again.
