There are already three new F1 teams on the horizon for 1997. There is the team of Jackie Stewart, who has attracted Arrows designer Alan Jenkins to design the new car for him. Talks are that they have spoken to Jos Verstappen for a seat in 1997 (see February 16 article). The next possible team is a new team to be formed by Tom Walkinshaw who has left Ligier. The third team is the Dome F1 team, a Japanese team, that will launch its car today in Tokyo. The car will be equipped with a Mugen Honda V10 engine.
