Pirelli announces tyre choices Austrian Grand Prix

Published on 21 June 2016 by Mike Motilall

Pirelli has disclosed the tyre choices of the different teams for the Austrian Grand Prix. Regarding the race weekend on the Red Bull Ring, many teams have decided to put both of their drivers on a slightly different choice of tyres to open the weekend.

Those differences only pertain to the soft and super soft compound tyre. The drivers from the respective teams have no differences in their tyre choice regarding the ultra softs. The most aggressive selection has been done by the teams from Ferrari and Renault. Both opted for nine sets of the ultra-soft compound.

The most conservative of all choices has been made by the Haas F1-team. They have decided to use six sets of the ultra soft tyres. Red Bull Racing intends to run with seven sets of the ultra softs.
