Max voted "Driver of the Day" after British Grand Prix podium

Published on 11 July 2016 by Stefan Meens

For the fourth time this season, Max Verstappen was voted ‘Driver of the Day’ by racing fans worldwide. The Dutchman received the accolade after fans took the opportunity to vote on Formula1.com for their driver of the day after the British Grand Prix.

At Silverstone, Max achieved an F1 career best qualifying (P3) before claiming an impressive second place in a British Grand Prix thwarted by changing weather conditions. Fans loved the fight between Max and Mercedes’ Nico Rosberg in which the Red Bull Racing driver came out on top after dicing in drying conditions.

After his first ever Grand Prix victory in Spain, his fourth place in Canada and his second podium in Austria, the Dutch youngster also received the fans’ plaudits and the accolade of ‘Driver of the Day’ after the British GP.
