For the sixth time now this Formula 1-season, Max Verstappen has been voted ‘Driver of the Day’. Worldwide fans casted their votes at Formula1.com during the race. The 19-year-old Dutchman amassed the most of them after the Japanese Grand Prix.
Starting from third on the grid, Max had a great getting off the line which resulted in him getting through into second. A good race pace and a strong defensive move during the final part of the race, keeping reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton at bay, earned him P2 crossing the line. The sixth podium finish for Verstappen.
Also after the Grands Prix of Spain (P1), Canada (P4), Austria (P2), Great-Britain (P2) and Malaysia (P2), Max was voted ‘Driver of the Day’. Total score, after the Japanese Grand Prix, is now six, thanks to the fans.
