Max voted ‘Driver of the Day’ in Grand Prix Brazil

Published on 13 November 2016 by Mike Motilall

For the eighth time now, during this Formula 1-season, Max Verstappen has been voted ‘Driver of the Day’. Globally Formula 1-aficionados casted their votes at Formula1.com during the race, resulting in the 19-year-old Dutchman acquiring the most for the Grand Prix in Brazil.

In a crazy, drenched race with a great many safety cars and even halting of the race, Max’ talent surfaced. The Red Bull Racing-driver was second, but dropped down to P16 by two pit stops. From there on, Max started his push forward like a hot knife through butter to eventually make it to the podium. This feat was done by overtaking thirteen cars in no less than fifteen laps. A brilliant run. Nothing short of stuff that legends are made of.

After the Grands Prix of Spain (P1), Canada (P4), Austria (P2), Great-Britain (P2), Malaysia (P2), Japan (P2) and USA (DNF), Max was also voted ‘Driver of the Day’. With the Grand Prix of Brazil, the total is now eight, thanks to the fans.
