Pirelli announces tyre selections for Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

The F1 sole tyre supplier Pirelli has revealed the different tyre choices for the Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi. The Italian based company supplies three tyre-compounds every GP-weekend. It is mandatory for the teams to use two during the race.
On the Yas Marina Circuit, the drivers will have Pirelli’s soft, super soft and ultra-soft compound tyres at their disposal. Both Mercedes drivers have provided the Italian supplier with the same tyre selection for the all deciding season’s final. Both have gone for four sets of the softs, two sets of the super softs and seven sets of the ultra’s.
Nico Hülkenberg has opted for the most aggressive selection of them all. The German from Force India selected three sets of the soft tyres, two of the super softs and no less than eight sets of the ultra-softs. This is quite a difference compared to that of the Red Bull Racing drivers. Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo will run on five sets of the softer compound, along with two of the super softs and six sets of the ultra-softs.
